Released in 1999 this model was Audi’s offering to the market for those who wanted comfort and style found within the estate range but with a more rugged and offroad capability. Many allroad owners bought the car for that very purpose and rare would you find one that has only been used for regular daily drives.

This particular car had seen many miles over the years and now being over 10 years old, was in need of some tlc. The owner bought the car from new and so had a sentimental connection as it had seen his family through many driving holidays and trips to France where the car had spent a lot of its time. The owner had contacted Dream Detail with a query as to what could be done with some of the cars cleanliness and also what could be done with the cars more serious signs of age. The car had a severe dent in the rear nearside quarter panel and also had ‘crazed’ headlights.

After a consultation, we agreed to get the car in for not only detailing work but also dent work and head light restoration. Audi wanted hundreds to replace the headlamp units but at Dream Detail was have the tools and ability to restore headlights that have had this hazing (see gallery pictures).

The exterior of the car had some minor scratches but was in generally good shape as the customer had always looked after the car with a good wash routine. A simple strip wash and machine polish of the affected areas saw this car quickly brought back to life. The car was then finished with a hard paste wax to protect it throughout the winter months ahead.

The Headlights were set sanded and then polished to remove as much crazing as possible which yielded great results and saved the customer lots of money as opposed to a replacement.

The Dents were tackled and again, with perfect results. The customer had previously had quotes to do this work but these were quite high so again we managed to save the customer money yet still provide a fantastic level of service.

The interior took a lot of work to bring back as every single area, no matter how big or small was tackled ensuring that it was given the best possible chance of rejuvenation whilst it was in the country. The car will now be driven back to France where it will now stay for the near future. The customer was so happy with the results that he made a second booking before it went back for some further work such as engine bay, wheel arch deep clean and rear light lens polishing.
