  • BMW are famously known for their rear wheel drive cars. In the last ten years however, this has seen a shift with the introduction of an X-drive system. BMW launched this system on the X-models (X3 and X5) as a rival to the Audi’s Quattro system and Mercedes Xmatic system. In recent years the X-drive has been developed and refined to be offered on saloon and coupes. This is BMW’s latest offering in the 3 series range, the 335 diesel powered M performance X-drive Saloon.

  • Porsche adopted the ‘Carrera’ name to commemorate the company’s success in the Carrera Panamericana race. The Targa and Panamera were also derived from races where Porsche had success. This 2010 Carrera was certainly a fantastic example but having only just been purchased, it was clear that the bodywork needed some attention.

  • In 1992 Jaguar excelled themselves with the XJ220, the fastest road car they’d ever produced. That record wasn’t broken until 2008 when the XKR-S was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. A limited run of 200 were made for the European market in LHD and RHD versions. Boasting a massive 410bhp and uprated aerodynamics and suspension set up, the XKR-S was only available in ultimate black.

  • The BMW E46 M3 is widely credited as one of the best sports coupes ever made. 50/50 weight distribution, over 343bhp at your fingertips and iconic looks makes this car the ultimate driving machine. This particular car has a few extras too. CSL Aloy wheels and the Alcon big brake kit make this car look better and stop quicker above standard models.   • BMW have recently been very keen to push paint technology, first with the revolutionary frozen paint finishes and also with their new Xirallic paint colours. The pigments within the paintwork have ultra high reflection properties which make it unbelievable in direct sunlight. In the shade, the car gains a very deep, dark colour as the flakes within the paint disappear.

  • Released in 1999 this model was Audi’s offering to the market for those who wanted comfort and style found within the estate range but with a more rugged and offroad capability. Many allroad owners bought the car for that very purpose and rare would you find one that has only been used for regular daily drives.
